In Japanese-style acupuncture, we begin by using shiatsu(Japanese bodywork therapy) to locate areas of muscle tension throughout the body. Then, needles are inserted into those areas and left in place while applying gentle heat.

Japanese-style acupuncture uses thinner needles compared to Chinese acupuncture, and a guiding tube is also used, making the insertion virtually painless.
